Banner for my Alyssa's Room

Here is a banner I made for my daughter's room. It hangs over her headboard. She loves soccer. So I threw it in the mix.
So here we go...The triangle shape and the soccer ball is from Sports Mania cart. The scalloped circles are from Gypsy Wanderings. And the letters are from Plantin Schoolbook. The flowers are Prima. I know at first I thought the colors did not really blend well. But once I stared at it long enough it began to look good to me. It is fine. I am ok with it not being too matchy matchy.

Sorry about the bad lighting. It is overcast here in VA.

Mod Podge Plaque

Where have I been, you ask? (OK I know that no one is asking but, anywhoo) I have been working hard on some Christmas gifts?
I made some home decor gifts. This one is an oval shaped wooden wall plaque.

I started with an all wood piece. I foam brush painted all sides and front with Antique Copper acrylic paint from A.C. Moore. I really love the look of it on the wood. It resembles a dark stain, but with a shimmer. (can you say LOVEEEY?) I KNOW right?
It ends up being all covered up by the paper but that's ok.
This one I am showing you today is for my nieces. They are so Beautiful! OK so I guess I am partial to their beauty, She gets told that she looks like me. ;-) LOL
Here are step by step pic instructions...

Start with a raw piece of wood. I got mine at the dollar store (I love that place)

Paint with Acrylic paint of your choice. I used folkart brand Metallic Antique Copper.

Add your paper of choice with mod podge. I just traced and cut the paper by hand. I inked edges with a red ink pad from CTMH. I also used some Tim Holtz distress ink in Rusty Hinge and a touch of Vintage Photo as well.

Add your image with mod podge and then... The fun part, embellish to your heart's desire!

I used I am roses flowers that I glimmer misted with Tuscan Sun and Dazzling Diamonds. I used some prima pearls and leaves, a Martha Stewart punch. All flowers are hot glued down.

Mini Album for Madison

Momo from MADE BY MOMO announced this on her blog. A call for all scrapbookers to help out in making some cards or gifts for a little girl named Madison.

Madison, was in remission from Leukemia! Their family was over joyed that such a young girl had beat this vicious cancer (she's only 6 years old). However, just last week, their family was just hit with the most horrific news........Madison's cancer has returned.

Besides our prayers we can help make her day a little better by sending her a card to put a smile on her face.
If your interested in helping please send your cards/packages to the following address by Friday, October 29th (please have it in the mail on or before that date):

Trisha Theo
Po Box 7806
North Port, Florida 34290

This is my project for Madison. She and her family can fill it with pictures of her and the people and things she loves.
This project is also the very first Gypsy project. I started making it the day I got my Gypsy. It was so fun to make and I hope it helps cheer Madison up.

Victoria's Canvas Piece

This Canvas is 11X17 in size. It is painted with black acrylic paint. The paper is Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess line. I sewed the borders of all the pages with black thread. The paper is modge podged on. I used black embossing powder for the letters. I ink the paper with Tim Holtz broken china distress ink. Mounted them on cardboard and used dimensional stickers to give them even more dimension.
The chipboard swirls are painted black and the black roses are from Micheal's wedding department. Black lace is from Joann's and I only taped down the bottom of the lace so it is a pocket for pictures or notes. I hope you like. Let me know what you think.

You & Me Mini

This is fun flower shaped chipboard mini. The small round pictures that I placed in each flower were paper pictures that I mounted on cardboard circles and modge podged over them. The paper is K&Co. The edges are inked with Tim Holtz vintage photo ink. A lot of the bling is either Close to my Heart or from the dollar bin at Micheal's. the flowers are Prima and the stamp sets are from Stampin UP. You can order from my friend Jana Edwards. Contact me for her info or see her at her blog at http://www.janascreations.blogspot.com/

Son of Mine Mini

Here in this Boy Mini. You will find no prima here. Just black envelope pages and primary colored paper and colored paper clips and jump rings. It is just a pretty simple kind of mini for my son. He let me take some great pictures of him and I printed them in wallet size and distressed and inked the edges with black ink. The stamp set I used is from Close to my Heart and the letter stamps I picked up ages ago. I don't even know where or who makes them but I just rediscovered them and I really love them.
Hope you like this mini. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks Ladies

Some Girly Scrapbooking

The first picture is a small tag that I made that I will probably find a way to hang in my scrap room. If and when I get to have one again. Maybe it will hang on my rear view mirror for a little while. It is made with a vintage easter paper by Karen Foster. The flowers I hand made out of regular card stock paper. The "A" charm is from Micheal's. The tag is a chipboard tag book from the $1 bin at Micheal's. I love that bin.

This next picture is a page that I will mount onto a canvas. I really love how she is looking at her doggy. To me it shows her love for her baby doggy. She is always holding him like a baby and he does not mind one bit. The papers are Close to my Heart. The small flowers are Prima, and the larger I hand made with card stock as well and then I used a pearl paint over it. The key is from Blue Moon.
I hope you like it. Leave a comment. Also if you have any questions let me know. Thanks Friends!
